Each Solunah dress is designed and handmade by me in my studio. Sketching my ideas out is a favourite part of this process for me, one that I can easily lose hours to. Once I am relatively settled on the design I begin sourcing the fabrics, draping and finalising the style. I then pattern cut the design and make any changes needed to the fit of the dress at this stage before cutting the fabrics and getting ready to sew. Each dress is sewn methodically and carefully, using ancient techniques designed for luxury garments and depending on the chosen fabrics, to ensure the finish of each seam is perfect. Finally the finishing touches are meticulously hand stitched and these last little details bring the magic of the dress to life.
